Oakhurst Hardscapes in South Seminole
Oakhurst sits on the south Seminole side of Park Boulevard, a ranch-lot grid with mature oaks and driveways that were poured when the trees were still small. Those slabs now hump at the root flare and drop at the garage. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those fields as interlocking pavers so the drive can be lifted later without pouring the whole thing again.
Oaks first, then the paver section
We do not cut a critical root without a plan. On many Oakhurst lots the fix is a vertical root barrier outside the flare, a rebuilt base in the wheel path, and a field that steps around the trunk instead of burying it in bedding sand. Where the tree has already voided the subgrade, proof-rolling tells us whether we need extra stone or a confined cell under the tire lanes.
Leave the flare exposed. Do not bury oak roots under a thicker sand bed.
Rebuild only the failed bay when the rest of the field is still tight and the color is available.
Carry drainage to the street or a side swale so the patio behind the house is not the low point.
Patios and pool-cage floors in Oakhurst
Rear yards here are often a mix of old concrete, a later cage, and a step that no longer matches the slider. We set the new paver floor to the cage beam, keep weeps clear, and isolate the house slab so seasonal movement does not telegraph into the field.
PaverForge Hardscapes works Oakhurst and the rest of south Seminole from St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798 or email PaverForge@gmail.com if you want the driveway leveled and the patio brought to the same elevation as the cage.
