Orange Avenue Clearwater Paver Approaches

Orange Avenue is part of the downtown Clearwater street grid, east of the Fort Harrison couplet, with short approaches, courtyard walks, and sidewalks that belong to the city. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds the private side so the field meets the sidewalk without holding water at the step.

A downtown apron is not a suburb drive

Lots here are shallow. The drive or courtyard may be only a few courses deep before it hits the sidewalk. That short run still needs a compacted base and a restrained edge, because the sidewalk joint is where these fields usually open up.

Meter boxes, communication pedestals, and the occasional street-tree root sit in the same strip. We collar the lids and stop the pavers at the property side of the walk.

Courtyard fall and the door

Shaded courtyard entries on this grid drop at the stoop. We set the landing in plane with the threshold and pitch the rest of the field to the sidewalk joint, not back at the door. Patio pavers are appropriate for a foot courtyard. Any portion that takes a car is an 80mm field.

If the city sidewalk is scheduled for grind-and-raise, we leave a maintainable edge so the private field can be reset without a full tear-out.

How to start

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online. A sidewalk photo and a door-threshold photo are enough to tell an approach reset from a courtyard rebuild.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
