Ozona and Crystal Beach Hardscapes North of Palm Harbor
Ozona and Crystal Beach sit on the north Pinellas mainland with one foot in old Florida cottages and the other in newer gulf-adjacent homes. They are not barrier islands, but they take salt air, a high water table on the low streets, and oak root the same way Palm Harbor and Dunedin do. PaverForge Hardscapes treats them as part of the north-county loop out of St. Pete Beach.
Cottage streets and newer builds
On the older streets the job is usually a narrow drive, a front walk, and a small patio that has to sit next to a 1940s house without looking like a showroom pad. On the newer builds the field is larger, the HOA has opinions, and the irrigation system will stain the first cheap gray paver it can find.
Color that belongs next to wood siding or coastal stucco, not a catalog beige that blows out in July.
A base that ignores the myth that mainland lots do not need depth.
Root strategy along the live oaks that line Crystal Beach streets.
Irrigation setbacks and a cleaning plan so rust and fertilizer do not brand the field in year one.
Low lots near the water
Some Ozona and Crystal Beach streets sit close enough to the gulf and the intra-coastal that king tides and storm surge show up in the yard. We will not sell a perfectly flat “modern” patio on a lot that ponds. Pitch, a drain if the yard is a bowl, and an honest conversation about flood-zone height are part of the quote.
How far north we work
Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Ozona, Crystal Beach, and Tarpon Springs are all regular north-county work. You are not paying a travel novelty. You are paying for a field that is built the same way we build St. Pete Beach: compacted base, locked edge, joints that can be maintained.
