Pass-a-Grille Pavers and Hardscapes: Tight Lots, Real Base
Pass-a-Grille sits at the south tip of St. Pete Beach. Lots are small. Alleys and side yards are tight. Delivery trucks do not get a second chance at a turn. A hardscape crew that only works wide mainland driveways will fight this neighborhood.
What the lot actually needs
Most Pass-a-Grille work is a patio, a walkway to the beach path, a small driveway apron, or a low wall that holds a raised bed. The stone is the easy part. Compaction, edge restraint, and a slope that sends water to the street or a drain — that is the job.
Access and staging
We plan material drops so we do not block a one-way street all day. Base rock and sand go down in lifts and get compacted before a single paver is set. That is slower than dumping stone on dirt. It is also why the surface stays locked after a king-tide weekend.
