Ponce de Leon Boulevard Driveways in St. Petersburg
Ponce de Leon Boulevard cuts across central St. Petersburg with a mix of 1950s ranch lots, later additions, and side-load garages. The street itself is not the problem. The problem is a driveway that was built flat, then asked to drain toward a gutter that sits higher than the slab. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those drives so water leaves the field instead of sitting against the garage door.
Crown versus single pitch
A long Ponce drive usually wants a mild crown so both edges can shed. A short, side-load drive often wants a single pitch to the street or to a side yard swale. We pick one and commit. Mixing both on the same field is how you get a birdbath in the middle.
City apron and right-of-way rules still apply at the sidewalk.
Utility lids in the field get collars so they can be raised later.
Irrigation that crosses the dig is marked and sleeved before base goes down.
80mm pavers in herringbone for daily cars; running bond only on walks.
What we will not do
We will not glue a paver overlay onto a cracked slab that is still moving. If the concrete is failed, it comes out. If the soil under it is wet sugar sand, it gets fabric and a thicker base, not a thinner one.
