Pool-Cage Kick Plates and Door Thresholds in Pinellas Paver Floors

Most Pinellas pool-cage floors do not fail in the middle of the field first. They fail at the slider, the screen door, and the kick plate where splash, pets, and furniture legs hit the same three stones every day.

PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those edges without pulling a cage that is still sound. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough.

What we change at the door

  • A threshold pitch that sheds splash back onto the deck, not into the house

  • A kick-plate band that can be lifted and re-set without cutting screen frame

  • Joints that stay serviceable after salt cells and weekly rinses

  • A clean line against the existing cage post so the repair does not look like a patch

When the whole floor has to come up

If the field has no pitch and the base is pumping, a pretty threshold will not save it. We say that on site. If the stones are still good, we re-level the deck and rebuild the door band as its own detail.

How to start

Send a photo of the door sill, the first three courses, and any ponding after a rinse. We typically reply the same business day.
