Pool-Deck Equipotential Bonding and Salt-Cell Chemistry
A Pinellas pool deck is not just a pretty field around a cage. The deck has to pitch away from the sliders, stay bonded where code requires it, and live with salt-cell water that attacks the wrong metal and the wrong joint sand.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds and rebuilds pool-adjacent paver decks from St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798.
Bonding is not optional theater
Where the deck meets the pool beam and the screen cage, we coordinate with the pool and electrical trades so the bonding grid is continuous. We do not cover a broken bond with a pretty soldier course and call the job done.
Salt-cell water and the joint
Salt systems leave a film. They also punish cheap metal edge and the wrong sand. We spec joints that can be maintained, metals that belong in a coastal yard, and a pitch that keeps standing water off the cage kick plate.

Send the slider threshold, the beam joint, and any rust or washed joints. We walk the deck before we lock a number.
