Rebuilding a Patio After a Pool Heater Pad Enlargement

A new or larger pool heater rarely fits the old equipment pad. The plumber or pool tech pours or sets a bigger slab, and the finished paver patio is left with a raw cut, a cold joint, and a low spot that ponds against the sliders. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds that field so the pad is isolated and the patio still drains.

Isolate the pad, do not glue it to the field

The heater pad is a different structure. We leave a bond-breaker at the pad edge, reset the surrounding units on fresh bedding, and keep the patio pitch away from the house beam and toward a channel drain or side-yard daylight. Condensate from the heater is trenched to daylight or a pop-up, not dumped on the joints.

Match the field

We pull a repair pallet or blend leftover units so the patch is not a single-color rectangle. Joints get polymeric or open-graded stone to match the rest of the deck, then a first-week watering plan if the sand needs to lock.
