Roosevelt Heights Neighborhood Driveways in St. Petersburg
Roosevelt Heights is a compact south-central St. Petersburg pocket of mid-century bungalows and rebuilt cottages. Lots are 40 to 50 feet wide. Live oaks sit on the parkway. The original drive is often a cracked ribbon that no longer meets the city sidewalk.
Short throat, mature roots
The throat is short and the flare at the sidewalk is tight. We cannot stockpile base in the street without blocking the neighbor. We measure the garage-slab lip, undercut root plates only where they have already heaved the field, and set a compacted crushed-concrete base that can be maintained when the next root shows up in ten years.
A soldier-course border lets us re-level an edge later without tearing the whole field. We will not glue a 60mm patio paver onto a failed slab and call it a Roosevelt Heights driveway.
Tight-lot etiquette
We notice the neighbor before saws start, drop pallets at night when the street is a one-way pinch, and leave one parking space overnight. PaverForge Hardscapes works Roosevelt Heights with Lakewood, Maximo Heights, and the 22nd Street South corridor. Call 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page.
