San Mateo Drive Dunedin Paver Approaches
San Mateo Drive runs through the marina side of Dunedin, where driveways double as boat approaches and side yards are tight. Concrete here stains from salt spray and often breaks at the garage throat after a trailer tongue has bounced on it for a decade.
Trailer turning without tearing the border
The approach needs a wider throat than a standard two-car drive, a darker soldier course that hides tire scuff, and 80 mm pavers if the lot regularly takes a trailer. We keep the turning radius off the irrigation heads and off any seawall cap tie-in at the back of the lot.
Drainage still has to leave the garage. A one-to-two percent pitch to the street, or to a side-yard pop-up if the lot falls the other way, keeps wash water from the boat rinse off the living-room slab. Polymeric sand is swept and blown clean so it does not haze the field in the humidity.
PaverForge Hardscapes lays these marina-adjacent Dunedin approaches. Call 727-490-9798 to schedule a look at the throat, the trailer path, and the sidewalk joint.
