Sand Key Estates Neighborhood Driveways
Sand Key Estates driveway work
Sand Key Estates sits on the island south of Clearwater Beach, with gulf wind, salt, and HOA review on many streets. Driveways here fail when someone set thin units on a sand bed and called it a coastal job. Wind-driven rain finds the joints. The first course at the sidewalk rolls. Color fades on the west face if the owner picked a surface-coated unit.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds compacted-base interlocking fields that belong on an island lot. We work from St. Pete Beach and treat Sand Key as a regular Pinellas service area, not a one-off trip.
Coastal details that matter
80mm color-through concrete pavers, not a thin patio unit on a driveway.
Pinned restraint and a soldier course that can take the turning load off Gulf Boulevard access streets.
A pitch that sheds toward the street without dumping onto a neighbor’s lot.
HOA photos of pattern, border, and sample panel before the pallet drop.
Build sequence
Utilities get marked. We photograph the existing apron and any impact-door stoop that has to stay isolated from the field. Failed base comes out. New base is compacted in lifts. Bedding is C33. We blend pallets so the west-facing field does not read as one blotch at 4 p.m. Joints lock after a dry window — island afternoon storms are on the clock.
If the lot also needs a stoop rebuild at a flood-retrofit door, that plane is isolated from the house slab and the drive so neither one drags the other.
