Sawgrass Lake Park-Adjacent Driveways in Northeast St. Petersburg
Sawgrass Lake Park sits in a low bowl of northeast St. Petersburg. Lots on the park rim stay wetter longer after summer storms, and oak shade keeps polymeric joints from drying the way a west-facing lot does. PaverForge Hardscapes treats those drives as high-water-table work: geotextile, open drainage paths, and a base that is compacted in lifts instead of dumped wet.
Water table and shade joints
If the old concrete is pumping fines at the joints, the subgrade is already saturated. We do not overlay pumping slabs. The failed section comes out, the hole is dried or dewatered as needed, and the new section is built to pitch away from the house and toward a lawful discharge — street, swale, or a basin, not the park ditch.
Shaded joints grow algae and lose sand faster. We spec a joint sand the owner can re-sweep after the first wet season and leave a small extra pallet so a color match still exists in two years.
Park-weekend staging
Saturday trail traffic on 4th Street North and the park loop is real. Demo and material drops happen on weekdays when possible. The travel lane stays open; cones do not migrate onto the park entrance.
If you back up to Sawgrass Lake Park or sit on the streets that feed it, send a photo of standing water and the garage threshold. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
