Screen-Cage Door Threshold Plates on Paver Decks
Screen enclosures in Pinellas often have a door that sits proud of the paver field, or a threshold that ponds every time the cage gutter dumps. Paving over the track, or butting stones against a loose aluminum sill, is how the door starts to drag.
PaverForge Hardscapes cuts a recess, sets a threshold plate or a flush band, and pitches the field away from the track.
What we set
A metal or paver-band threshold that the door clears, with the field locked so the plate does not rock. The joint at the track stays open enough for the cage weep, not packed with polymeric sand that traps water.
If the existing deck has settled at the door only, we lift that bay, rebuild the base, and reset. A full tear-out is not automatic.
Pitch and the gutter
Cage gutters still need a splash path. The threshold plate is not a dam. We keep the fall off the slider and off the door so the track is the high point, not the low one.
