Screen-Cage Weeps and Deck Pitch on Pinellas Pool Decks
A Pinellas pool cage is a roof. After a summer cell it dumps a surprising amount of water onto the paver deck through the weep holes and the kick plate. If the deck is pitched toward the house so the cage looks level, that water sits at the slider and finds the joint.
PaverForge Hardscapes treats cage water as a drainage problem, not a sealer problem. Call 727-490-9798.
What we check before we reset a deck
Where the cage weeps land and whether they dump onto a joint or a drain path
Pitch away from the slider and the beam, even if the cage track looks level
A channel drain or a low point that can be cleaned, not a hidden puddle at the screen wall
Kick-plate and threshold details that do not trap sand against the door
Sealer will not fix a deck that falls toward the house. Re-sanding will not fix a weep that hits the same joint every afternoon. We set the field so cage water has a path off the deck, then we lock the edge so the first storm does not walk the course.
How to start
Send a photo of the slider threshold after rain and one of the cage wall where the weeps hit. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
