Seminole Gardens Neighborhood Driveways
Seminole Gardens is a compact neighborhood south of Park Boulevard in Seminole. Lots are typical Pinellas mid-century: a one-car or two-car garage, a short throat to the street, and side yards that barely fit a wheelbarrow once the fence is up.
PaverForge Hardscapes installs new fields and rebuilds failed concrete here without blocking Park Boulevard traffic any longer than the drop window. Staging is the job. Pallets go on the existing slab or on access mats, not on the neighbor’s Bahia.
Short throats and turning radius
A Seminole Gardens driveway is often shorter than a modern two-car court. If you widen toward the mailbox, you still have to keep the city apron geometry and the water meter lid. We lay the field so the soldier course can be lifted later when the city replaces the meter setter.
Where a side-load garage is involved, the inside radius gets 80mm units and a darker border that hides tire scuffs. Bedding thickness stays consistent so the plate compactor does not tilt units at the turn.
Stormwater on a flat lot
These lots do not have much fall. We hold a two-percent pitch where the street will take it, and we add a shallow mid-field band or a small basin when the garage is the high point and the sidewalk is already proud.
Confirm HOA or city work-hour rules before a Saturday start.
Keep polymeric sand off the day the irrigation tech runs a full-zone test.
Leave a repair pallet labeled for future soldier-course patches.
Photograph the pre-existing sidewalk chips so they are not blamed on the crew.
