Shorecrest Neighborhood Driveways in Northeast St. Petersburg
Shorecrest sits north of downtown St. Petersburg along the 4th Street North corridor, with 1950s slabs, live oaks, and short driveway throats that a dump truck cannot swing without a flagger. PaverForge Hardscapes builds and re-levels interlocking drives here so the field stays locked after the wet season, not just the week after install.
What Shorecrest lots actually need
Many Shorecrest drives were set on a thin sand bed against a settled concrete apron. Afternoon storms sheet toward the garage. Roots lift the first two courses at the parkway. A pretty color will not fix that.
80 mm units on any surface that takes a passenger car
Compacted crushed-concrete base sized for driveway load, not a patio spec under tires
Pitch to the street or a working low point, not back to the slab
A soldier or sailor course that can be swapped when a root heaves one unit
Permits and staging
A grade change at the city apron still needs a St. Petersburg or Pinellas permit. We photograph existing pitch, mark irrigation, and keep cut dust on the lot. Materials stage on mats so the parkway sod is not a mud track.
