Thirteenth Street Heights Paver Driveways in South St. Pete

Thirteenth Street Heights sits on the south side of St. Petersburg, along 13th Street South between the warehouse-arts edge and the Childs Park and Harbordale blocks. Lots are older, drives are often short, and many houses still meet the street through a city apron that was poured decades before the paver field.

PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those drives from the base up. Sugar sand and patched concrete get cut out, a compacted crushed-concrete base goes in lifts, and the paver field is pitched to the street or a side swale so afternoon storms do not sit at the garage. Where the private field meets the right-of-way, the apron and curb cut stay with the city scope and the pavers stop at that line.

Alley-loaded houses in this pocket need a different throat. Trash carts, the meter, and the occasional delivery van all use the same narrow strip. A soldier-course border, a darker tire lane, and a flush cleanout ring keep the alley pad serviceable without a lip at the threshold.

  • Excavate failed overlay and organic pockets before new base

  • Match 60 mm walks and 80 mm drives where cars actually turn

  • Hold a consistent joint width so polymeric sand locks instead of washing into the alley

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
