Tierra Verde Marina Walks and Trailer Pads
Tierra Verde Marina sits at the south end of the Pinellas Bayway, a few miles from our St. Pete Beach shop. The lots next to the basin are not a regular residential driveway. Trailers turn tight, salt sits on the surface, and the ramp apron already has a job.
What the marina edge actually needs
A boat-trailer pad has to take tongue weight and turning scuffs without creeping toward the neighbor. We use an 80mm field on a compacted crushed-concrete base, pin a salt-tolerant edge restraint, and pitch the surface to a working low point that is not the dock boards or the house slab.
Walks from the parking field to the slips stay flush at thresholds so carts and coolers do not catch. Where the field meets the existing ramp concrete we cut a clean key instead of butting two different sections and hoping the joint stays.
Staging on a working basin
Dump trucks and pallet drops are sequenced so launch traffic can still move. We protect the neighbor strip with mats and keep silt off the basin. Utility locates happen before we open the pad because older laterals hide under the original shell drive.
