Tight-Lot Staging: Side-Yard Access on St. Pete Beach Jobs
A St. Pete Beach cottage rarely has a dump-truck path to the backyard. The work goes through a side yard, past an AC pad, under a meter, and around a cage post. If that path is not in the quote, the number you got from a photo is fiction.
PaverForge Hardscapes plans access and staging before we lock a price. That is why we walk the lot.
What tight access actually changes
Material arrives in small lifts instead of one drop. Haul-off leaves the same way it came in. Compaction equipment has to fit the path. A neighbor fence or a parked boat can add a day. None of that shows up in a square-foot price copied from a mainland driveway.
Measure the side yard, gates, and overhead lines before ordering stone
Protect the existing walk, irrigation, and AC pad on the way in
Stage pallets where they will not block the only path out
Plan haul-off so debris does not sit in the street overnight
Why this belongs in a beach-lot quote
Pass-a-Grille, Treasure Island, and Madeira Beach jobs fail the same way when someone prices only the finished square footage. Access is labor. Access is also how you avoid tearing up a good side yard to save a patio. Read the Pass-a-Grille, St. Pete Beach, and quote-process posts on this blog, then send photos of the side yard with the patio photos.
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Include the street frontage, the side-yard path, and where a truck can legally sit. We typically reply the same business day and will walk the lot before we lock a number.
