Tyrone Gardens Neighborhood Driveways in St. Petersburg
Tyrone Gardens sits west-central in St. Petersburg, where mid-century lots share short throats, live oaks, and driveways that meet city sidewalks at a tight flare. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those fields so the crown, joints, and edge restraint survive afternoon storms and daily traffic.
What the lot actually needs
Many Tyrone Gardens drives were poured or laid before the current sidewalk grade. After a city grind-and-raise, the first two rows sit proud or pond at the throat. We shot-grade from the garage slab to the public walk, then set a soldier course that can be lifted later if the city comes back.
Compacted crushed-concrete base in lifts, not a single dump-and-hope layer
Pinned edge restraint at the lawn and along the sidewalk flare
Two-percent pitch off the house slab unless the lot already drains the other way
Color-blend from three pallets so the field does not blotch after one season
Permits, staging, and neighbors
Tyrone Gardens streets are narrow. We stage pallets on mats, keep one lane open, and photograph the city apron before and after so the private field keys to whatever the city last set. Call 727-490-9798 or email PaverForge@gmail.com for a Tyrone Gardens walk-through.
PaverForge Hardscapes is based in St. Pete Beach and works Tyrone, Azalea, Disston Heights, and the rest of west-central St. Petersburg. A neighborhood driveway should look like it belongs on the block, not like a showroom sample dropped on the lot.
