Tyrone Square Mall-Adjacent Commercial Pads in West St. Petersburg
The Tyrone Square area is west St. Pete retail: parking lots, outparcels, medical offices, and HOA streets that feed 66th Street and Tyrone Boulevard. A paver pad here is not a patio that happens to face a parking lot. It is a small commercial field that has to be swept, re-sanded, and driven on.
What fails first around mall-adjacent pads
Thin base that ruts under delivery vans.
Plastic edge that walks off the shoulder after one season of cart and tire traffic.
No isolation at the building slab, so the field and the storefront crack as one piece.
Joints left open so sand leaves and weeds take the storefront walk.
How we spec the pad
80mm interlocking pavers on a compacted crushed-stone base, a restraint that can be repaired in sections, and pitch to a known drain or landscape. If the owner wants a decorative band at the door, that band still sits on the same base as the drive. We do not float a pretty ribbon on bedding sand and call it a commercial entry.
Access and after-hours work
Outparcels still have tenants. We plan cuts, sawing, and trucking so the storefront can stay open, and we do not dump millings in a fire lane. If the property has an HOA or a landlord spec, we work from that packet instead of inventing a layout on site.
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. Send the landlord spec if you have one, plus photos of the existing pad and the door threshold.
