Walter Fuller Park-Adjacent Driveways in West St. Petersburg

Walter Fuller Park sits in west St. Petersburg with ball fields, a pool, and a neighborhood of mid-century homes around it. Driveways here take Saturday park traffic and sit under live oaks that drop tannin and push roots. PaverForge Hardscapes treats those drives as load-bearing fields.

Oaks, parks, and thin original slabs

A lot of the original concrete is four inches over sand. Overlaying pavers on that slab only hides the crack until the next root or the next wet season. When the slab is broken we excavate, place fabric, compact base, and set 80mm pavers. When a slab is sound and high enough we will say so and price an overlay honestly.

  • Root-aware excavation instead of grinding every oak flare.

  • Apron slope that still sheds into the gutter after a summer storm.

  • Park-day staging so the street is not blocked on a Saturday tournament.

  • Color and pattern that can be matched later if the owner widens the drive.

Send photos of the slab, the oak, and the street apron. We answer with a written scope. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
