Whitcomb Bayou Canal-Lot Pavers in Tarpon Springs

Whitcomb Bayou cuts through the residential grid south of downtown Tarpon Springs. Lots face a narrow canal, not a wide gulf beach, but the water table still rises with king tides and the side yards are too tight for a dump truck to swing.

PaverForge Hardscapes treats these canal lots as their own job type: a compacted base that does not pump fines when groundwater comes up, a pitch that leaves the house and the seawall cap, and staging that does not block the neighbor's boat trailer.

Section on a canal lot

We undercut organic pockets along the bank, place geotextile where the sand is loose, and compact crushed concrete in lifts at workable moisture. The finished field pitches to a legal low point in the yard or a channel drain — never toward the house slab and never as a hidden fall line over the seawall.

Where a patio meets a seawall cap or bulkhead we isolate the field so a little movement at the wall does not telegraph as a trip edge through the pavers. Dock approaches and boat-trailer pads get 80mm units, not leftover patio stone.

Access

Whitcomb streets are quiet and narrow. We night-load when the lot cannot take a daytime drop, protect the neighbor strip with mats, and keep one lane open for residents.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
