11th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Drives
Paver driveways on 11th Avenue South in St. Petersburg, where oak roots and thin concrete fail and the new field still has to meet the city sidewalk flush.
South St. Pete lots on 11th Avenue South
11th Avenue South runs through the Harbordale and Bartlett Park side of south St. Petersburg. Lots are older, oaks own the parkway, and many drives are cracked concrete or a paver field that was set on sand alone.
Alley-loaded homes on this grid also need a rear pad that does not pond against the garage. The street apron and the alley apron are two different joints, and both have to drain.
Base, roots, and the sidewalk
We locate utilities, saw-cut the sidewalk joint, and rebuild the base. Where a root has heaved the field, we cut a clean window, set a root barrier if the tree can take it, and relay only after the base is compacted.
Eighty-millimeter pavers go in the drive. The walk can be lighter. A darker soldier course hides tire scuff at the apron. Call 727-490-9798 with a photo of the sidewalk lip if you want a same-week look.
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send photos of the apron, the sidewalk joint, and any low spot. We typically reply the same business day and walk the lot before we lock a number. The shop is in St. Pete Beach, and the same crew covers Dunedin, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, and St. Petersburg.
