1st Street East St. Pete Beach Side Yards

1st Street East is a gulf-block street in St. Pete Beach, between Gulf Boulevard and the beach. Side yards are often the only way to move a cart, a ladder, or a pool pump. A path laid on loose shell settles into a trench that holds water against the house.

Keep the stem wall dry

We excavate the walking line, compact aggregate, and pitch the field a finger-width off the stucco. Edge restraint keeps the course from walking into the neighbor fence. If an AC condenser already sits in the path, the pad gets its own isolation joint so vibration does not rattle the walk.

  • Width sized to a trash cart, not a patio module

  • Sleeve for any condensate or irrigation line that crosses

  • Rigid edge on both sides of a three-foot run

  • No polymeric sand until the field has dried after a rain
