20th Avenue North St. Pete Driveway Aprons
20th Avenue North runs through the Old Northeast grid between Coffee Pot Bayou and the bay, where older aprons meet a city sidewalk that the county does not own. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those aprons so the paver field stops at the right-of-way and the private drive still sheds water.
What 20th Avenue North aprons need
Most failures here are a thin sand bed under the first two rows, not the pavers themselves. Roots from street oaks lift the sidewalk, the apron follows, and the garage slab stays put. We cut a clean joint at the slab, rebuild the apron base, and keep the city walk untouched unless the homeowner already has a permit path for that section.
Base and pitch
We excavate the failed apron, compact a crushed-shell or limerock base, and set concrete pavers on a bedding layer with edge restraint on the private side. Pitch runs away from the garage and off the low side of the lot, not into the sidewalk joint. Polymeric sand locks the field after the first wetting.
How to start a quote
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Photos of the apron, the sidewalk joint, and the garage threshold are enough for a same-day reply. We walk the lot before we lock a number. The shop is in St. Pete Beach and covers St. Petersburg, Shore Acres, and the Old Northeast from the same crew.
