ADA Detectable-Warning Plates at Commercial Paver Entries in Pinellas
A storefront walk or office-park entry in Pinellas is not finished when the pavers look even. If the route is public-facing, the landing, slope, and detectable warning have to be buildable, not sketched on a napkin. PaverForge Hardscapes sets those details in the field so the first inspection is not a tear-out.
What we actually build
The plate sits on a stable bed, flush with the adjacent pavers, not perched on a mound of sand. Color contrast is part of the product choice, not a paint day after the fact. The slope through the landing stays inside a range a wheelchair can use. If the existing grade cannot do that, we say so before we cut.
Cast-in-place or modular detectable-warning plates rated for exterior use.
A compacted landing that will not settle under the plate after the first summer storm.
Pavers cut tight to the plate so a cane or a wheel does not catch a lip.
Photos of the landing and the slope for the permit packet when the city asks.
What we will not fake
We will not drop a plastic mat on loose bedding sand and call it compliant. We will not steepen a drive to make a pretty radius if that slope fails the entry. Commercial-adjacent work is already in our catalog. The warning plate is just the detail that keeps the entry honest.
Plan a commercial entry
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or book online at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online. Bring the site plan if you have one. If you do not, a tape measure and two photos of the door and the sidewalk are enough to start.
