Basketball Goal Sleeve Footing Pads
An in-ground basketball pole in a paver driveway fails when the sleeve is dropped into bedding sand. The pole leans, the pavers around it dish, and the joint sand never stays. The sleeve needs a footing. The pavers need a clean ring around that footing.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those sleeve pads on Pinellas drives and side courts. Call 727-490-9798 or book at paverforge.com/book-online.
Footing first, pavers second
The pole maker's sleeve depth and diameter set the hole. We dig that footing before the base goes in, so the concrete is not poured through a finished field. The top of the footing stays below the bedding so the pavers can be cut to a ring, not forced to ride the concrete.
A bond break between the footing and the paver base keeps the pole movement from telegraphing into the drive. Edge restraint or a mortar-free cut ring holds the units that cars and players hit.
Where it should not go
Not in the overhead-door swing. Not on the septic field. Not where the only drain path crosses the sleeve and ponds. If the drive is already finished, we cut a pad, pour the footing, and reset a border so the patch reads as intentional.
Adjustable goals still need the same sleeve. The crank and the backboard load do not care that the surface is pretty.
Start with the pole spec
Send the sleeve diagram and a photo of the drive. PaverForge will mark the footing before anyone cuts pavers. Call 727-490-9798.
