Bay Street Dunedin Paver Courtyards
Bay Street is the waterfront edge of downtown Dunedin, along St. Joseph Sound. Storefronts, small restaurants, and a few residential courts share a street that floods the conversation every king tide and every hard west wind. A courtyard here is not a mainland patio with a different ZIP code.
Salt, pedestrians, and pitch
Foot traffic is constant, and the color fade from salt air is faster than on an inland Largo lot. We specify through-body concrete pavers, not a painted face, and we keep the field pitched to a legal outfall so a summer squall does not pond at the door. Soldier-course borders hide scuffs from carts and strollers. Metal edge, if we use it, is specified for salt air, not a big-box landscape stake.
What we do not bury
Grease-trap lids, hose bibs, and door thresholds stay accessible. A flush courtyard that covers a cleanout is a callback. We cut rings and boxes to grade, leave a joint at the building so the pavers are not locked to the slab, and talk sealing only after the joints have locked and the field has had a rain.
PaverForge Hardscapes is in St. Pete Beach and works Bay Street courtyards with the same base standard we use on the beaches. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
