Boat-Trailer and Tow-Vehicle Pads on Pinellas Waterfront Lots
A canal lot in Pinellas often needs a place to drop a trailer that is not the decorative auto court. Guest parking and a 7,000-pound tandem trailer are different loads. PaverForge Hardscapes builds a dedicated 80 mm pad with a thicker base under the wheel paths so the pretty field in front of the house does not rut.
Section under the trailer, not under the patio
We proof-roll, undercut organic soil, and compact crushed concrete in lifts. Geocell goes in when the native sand will not hold a plate. The pad gets a one-way pitch to a drain or the alley, never toward the dock box. Edge restraint is pinned through the base, not perched on bedding sand.
Size the pad for the trailer plus the tow vehicle, not just the bunks.
Keep the tongue jack on a small isolated pad so it does not punch a hole in the field.
Do not run wash-down water across the decorative courtyard. Isolate the rinse pad.
This is not the same detail as a boat-lift approach or a dock-box pad. Those sit at the water. A trailer pad sits at the street or the side yard so you can hook up without blocking the neighbor.
