Boat-Trailer Tongue-Jack Pads on Paver Approaches
On a canal lot the trailer sits in the same spot all week. The tongue jack is a point load. One paver under that jack cups, the joint opens, and the next storm washes the sand.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds a small jack pad into the approach so the load sits on a purpose-built spot, not on a single field unit. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
What the pad does
We mark where the jack actually lands when the trailer is stored, then set a thicker unit or a short reinforced pad on the same compacted base as the drive. The edge is restrained so the pad cannot walk out of the field.
Pitch still leaves the approach. A flat pad that holds rinse water just moves the failure from the jack point to the joint. We keep the drain path and we do not bury the pad in polymeric sand that will haze under a wet tire.
Where we build them
Shore Acres, Venetian Isles, Pasadena, and the other canal streets we already serve. Send a photo of the trailer in its parked spot and the paver under the jack. If the field is sound, this is a repair, not a tear-out.
