Boat-Wash Pads and Dock Approaches on Pinellas Waterfront Lots
A dock approach is not a patio that happens to face the water. It takes trailers, salt, wash-down water, and people who are not looking at their feet. PaverForge Hardscapes builds these pads so water leaves the field and the edge does not roll when a trailer tongue drops.
What the pad has to do
Pitch to a drain or a legal discharge — not into the neighbor's seawall.
A compacted base that does not pump when a trailer sits on it for a weekend.
Joints that can take a hose every Saturday without washing out in a month.
A clean transition from the pad to the dock or gangway so nobody steps off a lip.
Wash water is not decoration
If you rinse a hull on the pad, that water carries salt and soap. We plan the drain before we pick a paver color. A pretty herringbone that ponds against the seawall is a claim waiting for the next king tide.
When the wall is the real job
If the cap is rotten or the bulkhead is moving, a new pad will not save it. We walk the wall first. Tie-ins to a sound cap are a service we already build. Tie-ins to a failing wall are a no.
