Circle-Kit Radius Patios on Pinellas Lots
A circle kit is a factory-cut ring set, not a fan pattern you invent with a wet saw. Pinellas homeowners ask for a fire-pit ring, a dining circle in a rectangular yard, or a radius landing at a slider. The kit only looks right if the center is square to the house and the joints stay even all the way out.
Why circle kits fail on sand lots
The center dishes when the base is thinner in the middle than at the ring. Joints open on the last ring when the kit is stretched to cover a larger diameter than the manufacturer cut. We layout the true radius first, then build the base to one thickness under the whole circle.
Square the center to the house or screen-cage beam before the first ring
Do not stretch a kit past its designed diameter
Keep joint width consistent; do not pack the last ring tight to hide a miss
Edge-restrain the outer ring so the circle does not oval after summer rain
