Condenser Whip Sleeve Collars in Pinellas Paver Pads
When a condenser is changed, the liquid-tight whip and the disconnect rarely land in the same place twice. A paver pad poured tight to the old whip has to be saw-cut on the next replacement. PaverForge sets a sleeve collar in the pad so the whip can be pulled and reset without lifting the field.
Where the sleeve goes
The collar sits at the pad edge nearest the disconnect, clear of the condenser intake and of the clearance the manufacturer wants around the coil. It is large enough for the whip and a future larger conductor, and it is capped flush so it is not a trip edge. Condensate is piped off the bedding sand, not into the sleeve.
What we do not bury
The disconnect itself stays reachable and above the flood line the electrician specifies. We do not encase the whip, and we do not cover the unit's service panel. If the pad is also the screen-cage equipment pad, the sleeve is kept inside the cage line so a later panel change does not fight the kick plate.
Ask for a whip sleeve when the pad is quoted. PaverForge Hardscapes, 727-490-9798.
