Construction Entrances and Silt Control on Pinellas Paver Jobs
A paver job moves a lot of sand. On Pinellas lots that drain to a gutter or a storm inlet, the county and the HOA both care where that sand goes. PaverForge Hardscapes builds a temporary construction entrance and inlet protection before the first dump truck backs in.
What we set on day one
A rock or mat entrance at the apron keeps tires from painting the street with base material. Silt fence or wattles go on the downhill lot line. Inlet socks go in the nearest curb inlet. We keep a street broom and a small stockpile of clean stone so the entrance can be refreshed after a rain.
Rock or timber-mat entrance sized for the delivery truck
Inlet protection that still lets the gutter take a storm
Stockpile location that does not block a neighbor driveway
Daily sweep of the apron before we leave the block
Why this is part of the paver price
Skipping the entrance looks cheaper until a rain event puts limestone fines in a neighbor catch basin. We would rather spend a few hours on control than a day on a complaint. On tight barrier-island lots the entrance is often just mats and a designated tire path — the idea is the same.
