Dock-Box and Fish-Cleaning Station Pads on Pinellas Waterfront Lots
A dock box or a fish-cleaning station looks like a two-hour add-on. On a Pinellas seawall lot it is a grade problem. The cap is rarely level with the yard. Wash-down water has to go somewhere that is not the neighbor's riprap. The pad has to take a cooler, a filet table, and someone standing on one foot. PaverForge Hardscapes builds these as small structural pads, not a leftover stack of patio stone.
What the pad has to survive
Salt air, hose water, fish waste, and a box that gets dragged when the season starts. A sand-set 60 mm square with no edge will creep toward the water in one summer. A poured pad that sits proud of the seawall cap becomes a trip when you are carrying a rod.
We match the finished pad to the seawall cap or the dock walk, not to a random yard grade.
Pitch is away from the house and along the cap to a legal discharge, not over the neighbor's riprap.
A simple soldier-course edge and a compacted base keep the box from walking.
Tie-in details people skip
If the yard is already pavers, we lift a clean line and weave the new pad into the field so you do not see a patch. If the yard is lawn, we set a mow strip so the string trimmer does not chew the edge. Hose bibs stay out of the walking line. We do not hide a cleanout under the box.
Coastal setbacks and dock permits are the owner's paperwork. We will not build a pad that blocks a required walkway along the cap.
How to start
Send a photo of the cap, the existing box, and the hose bib. We will tell you whether the pad can sit on the yard side or has to drop to the dock elevation. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798.
