Downspout and Roof-Drain Tie-Ins Through Paver Patios
A Pinellas roof sheds a lot of water in twenty minutes. If that pipe ends on top of a new patio, the joints nearest the wall fail first and the base under the first two courses turns to soup. Downspout planning belongs in the layout, not as a splash block after the fact.
Options that actually work here
We can drop a catch basin under the elbow, run a lined pipe under the field to daylight or a lawful drain, or build a shallow channel that is part of the pattern. What we will not do is hide a corrugated tube in bedding sand and call it drainage.
Solid pipe under the field, sloped, with cleanouts where the run is long.
Basins set on compacted base so they do not tilt after the first storm.
Discharge that does not aim at the neighbor or the canal bank.
Pool-deck scuppers treated as roof water, not decoration.
Existing patios that pond at the wall
If the patio is already in and the wall stays wet, we can lift a strip, add a basin, and reset. Full replacement is only on the table when the base under the rest of the field is already gone.
Bring photos of the elbows
A picture of each downspout and the low corner of the patio is enough to start. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
