Dry-Season vs Wet-Season Polymeric Sand Cure Windows in Pinellas

Polymeric sand is not magic. In Pinellas it has two very different calendars. Late fall through spring often gives a clean overnight cure. June through September brings 3 p.m. storms that flood a joint that was swept at noon.

What we will not do

We will not flood-activate a field when radar shows a cell in the next two hours. We will not joint a deck that is still weeping from yesterday's rain. Trapped moisture under a crust is how you get a soft joint, haze, and ant highways by October.

How we time the work

On wet-season jobs we compact and set the field first, then return for joint sand on a dry morning with a real cure window. On dry-season jobs we can often joint the same week. Either way the owner gets a no-vehicle window so the crust can lock before the first grocery run.

If your Pinellas joints washed out after the first storm, PaverForge Hardscapes can reset and re-sand on a proper cure window. Call 727-490-9798.
