Face-Chip Blending and Replacement Units After Paver Delivery

Paver cubes take a beating on the barge, the truck, and the last ten feet of a tight Gulf-front lot. A few face chips on an order are normal. What is not acceptable is a cluster of raw edges in the middle of the landing where every guest looks down.

PaverForge Hardscapes sorts cubes on the day they land. Units with a chip on a hidden edge go into cuts or under a planter. Clean faces go in the field. We keep a sealed attic bundle from the same lot and shade so a future utility repair does not drop a bright new rectangle into a three-year-old driveway.

When to reject a cube

Reject a cube when chips concentrate on one face of the stack, when the color lot does not match the approved sample panel, or when cracked units exceed a small allowance. Do not bury bad cubes in the base. They do not compact like stone and they show up later as a soft spot.

Need a repair blend or a new field with attic stock held back? Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798.
