Flush Cable Pedestal Grade Rings

A cable, phone, or fiber pedestal in a new paver drive should not be paved over. Technicians need to open the lid, and a buried box becomes a cut-out the first time service is moved.

How the ring is set

We set a flush concrete or paver grade ring around the pedestal, pitched so water does not stand in the sleeve. The field stops at the ring. Edge restraint holds the pavers. The lid stays at finished grade, not under a soldier course.

The same detail works for NID boxes at the house wall and for small pedestals in the parking pad. We do not bury the grounding or the spare coil. If the utility has to raise the pedestal, the ring can be reset without rebuilding the drive.

How to start

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. Send a photo of the pedestal and the drive. We set flush cable-pedestal rings on St. Pete Beach, Clearwater, Dunedin, and south St. Petersburg jobs.
