Flush Channel-Drain Cleanout Rings on Pinellas Pool Decks
A channel drain at a pool-deck slider fails quietly. Polymeric sand, leaf debris, and sunscreen grit settle in the slot, then the first hard rain ponds at the door. Lifting a finished paver field to reach the line is the expensive version of a simple cleanout. PaverForge sets a flush cleanout ring at the downstream end before the deck is closed.
Ring, not a second grate
The ring is a removable cap at the line end, set flush with the paver surface and pinned to the edge restraint so it cannot rock. It is not a second decorative grate. The channel slot stays the intake. The ring is only there so a hose or jetter can reach the pipe after the deck is in use.
Sand and salt
We keep polymeric sand out of the slot during install, and we pitch the deck so the drain is the low line, not a birdbath beside it. Salt air eats cheap plastic lids. The ring we set is meant to be opened once a season, not buried under a soldier course.
This is separate from choosing a channel drain versus a catch basin. If the line is already in the slab, the ring is how it stays serviceable. Call 727-490-9798.
