Flush Irrigation Rotor Collars in Paver Borders
A rotor head that sticks up through a soldier course will get kicked, mowed, or tripped over. On a Pinellas patio the fix is not to bury the head. It is to set a flush collar so the head can still pop and the tech can still pull it.
How the collar is built
We locate the head before the border is locked, sleeve the riser so the paver cut does not pinch the pipe, and set a concrete or paver collar flush with the field. The head remains at grade. Joint sand stops at the collar so a later repair does not require tearing the border.
Spray heads on a walk edge get the same treatment. A head hidden under a paver looks clean for a week and then the zone dies because nobody can find it.
What we do not do
We do not pave over a live head, and we do not leave a raw PVC stub in the joint. If the zone is abandoned, the line is capped below the base and the collar is omitted. Reclaimed-water stains are a separate cleaning conversation, not a reason to bury the hardware.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets flush irrigation collars with new fields and re-lays across Pinellas. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
