Flush Pool-Cover Anchor Sockets in Finished Paver Decks
Automatic pool covers and reel covers need anchor sockets or strap anchors in the deck. On a finished paver deck those sockets have to sit flush, stay out of the pool-beam isolation joint, and still let the cover track run true.
PaverForge Hardscapes cuts and resets the paver field around cover anchors on Pinellas pool decks so the lid is trip-free and the cover mechanism is not locked to a moving beam.
Why the socket cannot sit on the beam
The pool beam and the paver field move differently. A socket drilled through both, or a cover track screwed only into bedding sand, either binds the cover or rocks the pavers. We keep a bond break at the beam, set the socket housing in a small concrete puck under the pavers, and cut units so the lid lands in the middle of a joint module when we can.
Reel covers need a clear run to the wall or the housing. We reset soldier course at the housing so the lid does not sit proud of the walking surface.
After the cover company is done
Cover crews often leave open cuts and loose sand. We re-lay the cut units, pin the edge if it was opened, and re-sand only after the deck is dry. Salt and chlorine splash will haze fresh polymeric sand, so the cure window matters.
