Flush Pool Skimmer Equalizer-Line Access Rings
A flush access ring for a pool skimmer equalizer line under a Pinellas paver deck, so the line stays serviceable without tearing up the field.
Why the equalizer line needs a ring
On a Pinellas pool deck the skimmer equalizer line is the small pipe that keeps the skimmer from sucking air when the water drops. Builders often bury the access fitting under the deck, then a paver crew covers it.
The first time the pool tech needs that fitting, the field gets pried up. A flush ring set in the paver course leaves a lid at grade, locked to the pattern, and still open with a screwdriver.
How we set it
We mark the fitting before bedding sand goes down. The ring sits on a small concrete collar so it cannot sink, and the pavers are cut tight to the rim. Pitch still runs away from the house, not into the lid.
The same detail works on a re-lay. If the equalizer is already buried, we locate it, cut a window, and set the ring before the field is compacted back. It is a small opening, not a deck rebuild.
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send photos of the apron, the sidewalk joint, and any low spot. We typically reply the same business day and walk the lot before we lock a number. The shop is in St. Pete Beach, and the same crew covers Dunedin, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole, and St. Petersburg.
