Flush Video-Doorbell and Gate-Intercom Grade Rings
A video doorbell on a column, or a gate intercom in a paver court, fails when the paver field buries the box or water stands in the sleeve. PaverForge Hardscapes sets flush grade rings and isolation collars so the low-voltage device stays reachable after the border is locked.
What the ring is for
The ring is not a decoration. It holds the paver cut off the device, gives the electrician a pull path, and keeps bedding sand out of the conduit. On a driveway gate, it also keeps a tire from loading the pedestal. We set the collar in the base, not on top of the bedding sand, so it does not rock after compaction.
Weep, height, and the future swap
Pinellas rain will fill a closed sleeve. We leave a weep or a drained bottom so the box does not sit in water. The lid or the device face finishes flush with the paver, or just proud enough to shed, never in a pocket that holds water against the column. A later camera swap should not mean lifting the soldier course.
Who owns the wire
We do not pull line-voltage, and we do not program the intercom. We coordinate the sleeve location with the electrician or the gate contractor before the border is cut, and we leave a pull string if they are not on site the same day. The hardscape scope is the ring, the pitch, and the edge restraint around it.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets these rings on St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Safety Harbor, and the rest of Pinellas. Call 727-490-9798 or use paverforge.com/book-online.
