Front Stoops and Entry Steps in Pavers for Pinellas Homes
A lot of Pinellas front doors sit on a small poured stoop that has dropped, tilted toward the house, or cracked at the first riser. Another pour on the same dirt repeats the failure. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those landings as paver steps and a paver stoop so the entry can be opened later if fill moves again.
Why the original stoop failed
The stoop is usually the last thing the builder poured, on the softest fill, with no drainage away from the slab. Irrigation and roof drip keep the soil wet. The door threshold then becomes the low point. Water under a wood frame is how you buy rot and a sticky door.
How we rebuild an entry
Demo the failed stoop and the first walk panel if they are tied together.
Rebuild a compacted base that is deeper than the old dirt pad.
Set risers at a consistent height the code and the household can live with.
Pitch the landing away from the threshold. A sliver of fall is enough if it is real.
Match the walk so the front of the house is one field, not a patch kit.
Tied to the walk and the driveway
On St. Pete Beach and south St. Petersburg lots we usually rebuild the walk at the same time. A new stoop against a heaved 1950s walk still looks like a repair. One field from the street to the door is the job most owners actually wanted.

Send a photo of the gap under the door and the first cracked riser to start the quote. Call 727-490-9798 or book online. We will tell you whether the stoop can be rebuilt in pavers or whether the framing under the threshold needs a carpenter first.
