Gas Line Sleeves Under New Pinellas Paver Fields
Outdoor kitchens, fire tables, and pool heaters all want a gas line that does not get buried in a mystery trench. On a new Pinellas paver job we sleeve the run under the base, with sweep bends and pull points, so a licensed plumber can land the appliance later without saw-cutting the field.
What we put in the ground
The sleeve is not the gas pipe. It is a larger conduit the gas pipe travels through. We set it below the compacted base, bedded so a plate compactor cannot crush it, and we mark both ends on the as-built. Cleanouts or capped tees sit outside the walking surface when the run is long.
Sleeve sized for the future load, not just today’s grill.
No sharp bends under a wheel path.
Separation from electric conduit and irrigation mains.
Ends capped so sand and ants do not fill the tube before the plumber arrives.
Who pulls the permit
Gas work belongs to a licensed plumber. We coordinate the sleeve layout with that plumber and with the kitchen or fire-feature vendor so the stub lands under the island, not under a chair. If a line already exists, we lift pavers along a joint, protect the pipe, and reset the same units.
PaverForge Hardscapes roughs gas sleeves while the patio is open so you are not cutting a new field next season. Call 727-490-9798 with the appliance list before we strike the sand bed.
