Pinellas homes add standby generators and extra condensers onto yards that already have a paver patio. If the pad is a leftover slab sitting on dirt next to a pretty field, the slab settles, the lines stress, and the patio edge unravels. We build the pad on the same compacted base as the field.

What the pad has to do

Stay level under vibration and service-tech traffic
Keep manufacturer clearance on all sides
Drain off the pad so standing water does not rust the base
Match the field height so you do not trip off a 4-inch lip

We do not do the electrical

The electrician sizes the unit, pulls the permit, and sets the equipment. We build a pad that is large enough, thick enough in section, and isolated enough that a tech can work without walking on planting beds. If the unit sits in a flood zone, we talk through elevation before we set the first course.

Same rule as an EV charger pad: sleeve any conduit before final compaction. Cutting a finished field to fish a whip is how you get a visible patch.
