Setting a Golf-Cart Charger Isolation Pad in Pinellas
Why the charger gets its own pad
Golf carts are common in Bardmoor, East Lake, On Top of the World, and beach-side HOAs. The charger usually ends up on the driveway, dripping condensate and heating the same joints that take tire load. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a small isolated pad beside the stall so the charger brick, whip, and drip sit on a dedicated field that can be lifted later without opening the main drive.
Layout, setback, and drainage
The pad is sized for the charger, a coiled cable, and a splash lip — not a full parking stall. We keep manufacturer clearance off stucco and wood, pitch the pad to a small basin or away from the slab, and isolate it from the driveway with a border or a cold joint so settlement does not telegraph. If the electrician still needs a pedestal, we leave a sleeve and a bonding path rather than burying the whip under bedding sand.
HOA carts and tight side yards
On HOA streets the charger often shares a side yard with the AC and the trash cans. We keep a walking strip, raise the pad enough that standing water does not reach the outlet, and match the house paver blend so the pad does not look like a leftover slab. This is a charger isolation pad, not a cart-path rebuild. Call 727-490-9798 if you want the pad set before the electrician lands the circuit.
