Grinder-Pump Basin Grade Rings in Pavers
A grinder pump or sewer ejector basin that gets paved over is a service call waiting to happen. The lid has to stay flush, reachable, and stronger than the pavers around it. A ring of units butted to the plastic rim will rock the first time a mower crosses it.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds those grade rings on Pinellas patios, side yards, and drives. Call 727-490-9798 or book at paverforge.com/book-online.
What the ring has to do
The basin rim is not a paver edge. We set a concrete or cast grade ring to the finished elevation, then cut pavers to it. The lid opens without lifting stones. Bolts stay clear of polymeric sand. If the basin sits in a drive, the ring is thick enough for a tire, not a walk-only detail.
Pitch still leaves the house. The ring is a high point or a matched plane, not a bowl. Irrigation and downspouts do not discharge on the lid.
Alarm panels and the hose bib
The alarm pedestal is a separate pad, not bolted through the field. A hose bib nearby is useful for wash-down and useless if it drains into the basin lid. We keep those three things — lid, panel, water — from fighting each other.
If the basin was already buried under a failed patio, we locate it before excavation so the excavator does not find it the hard way.
Photos that scope the ring
Send the lid, the alarm panel, and the patio edge. PaverForge Hardscapes will say whether the ring can be cut into the existing field. Call 727-490-9798.
